We’ve had so many days of snow, rain, and clouds in the past two weeks that I was on a mission to capture a little sunshine and some of the bright green colors that are covering Colorado Springs right now. It is Spring after all! I’ve wanted to get this shot for some time and late this afternoon it seemed as though everything was coming together for me to get it, except for one thing… the haze. The further away from the Peak I got, the thicker the haze became and I thought for sure it was going to ruin my shot. I was so determined that I continued on to my location anyway and as I stood there contemplating how to deal with the haze, a cloud parked itself right over the heart of the city. The haze became my new best friend as it highlighted the sun rays shining down over the Springs. I got my sun, I got my green, and I got my Peak – I am so glad I didn’t give up!
