Day 365… WOW, what a journey! I spent the entire day taking photos from each of my favorite locations…places I have come to know and love over the past year. I started out in my hometown, went to the top of the Peak and had a world famous “Pikes Peak Donut” and even set up a time lapse camera at the Taylor home in Woodland Park to capture an entire day in the life of the Peak. I was racing all over today to get the perfect last shot when I realized, what I really wanted to do was spend the last hour of the day watching the sun go down from a place I call “my perch”. If there is one thing I have learned from this project it is that we all need to stop and take a moment to appreciate the beauty all around us each and every day, no matter how busy we are. I have also learned that this big rock we all call our mountain is also America’s Mountain and something that binds us all as a community and a nation and that connection is powerful and amazing. I am so grateful to have had the chance to capture 1 short year on the life of our mountain, and I am incredibly grateful to each and every one of you for letting me share Pikes Peak with the world through this project.

With much love and gratitude,

~The Pikes Peak Guy
